You must be a member of The Hollywood Hill to submit and pitch projects. All lead talent must also be members of The Hollywood Hill. (Sign-up is available here)
There are no caps or floors for budgets. If an approved project is in "fundraising" mode and its attached talent leaves the project and suitable replacements are not substituted, the monies that are raised for the project will be redirected to other projects. Fundraising periods vary per project, based mostly on the perceived viability of completing the fundraising cycle. Partially-funded projects will be reviewed for greenlighting on a case by case basis.
Social Change Innovators retains all rights to documentaries funded 'fully' through Armchair Revolutionary. Ownership of rights for projects that are 'partially-funded' through Armchair Revolutionary are negotiable. Back-end participation for creative talent is available.
If needed talent (i.e. writers, directors, producers, narrators, physical production) are not attached to the project proposal, The Hollywood Hill will assist in retaining all necessary talent.
Distribution and marketing opportunities vary by project. Generally, the obvious priorities are as listed: Theatrical, On-Demand, DVD, and Internet.
All treatments, samples, and references are reviewed by the Project Council. Submissions that are approved move to the presentation/pitch phase. Projects that meet the final approval process are then presented to the public on ArmchairRevolutionary.com and fundraising begins.
Generally, we respond to submissions within 60 days.
