Description of Needs: REBIRTH owns the option rights to the preeminent book on the subject, Cape Wind: Money, Celebrity, Class, Politics, and the Battle for Our Energy Future on Nantucket Sound. Legendary filmmaker ALBERT MAYSLES is serving as Director of Photography and Brooklyn-based MEANS OF PRODUCTION has partnered to help produce and edit. REBIRTH has shot more than 100 hours of HD footage, gained trusted access to all of the key players on both sides of the battle, and have just released a trailer intended to solicit financing (capewindmovie.com). REBIRTH plans to finish production by the end of the summer and release the film before the Federal government announces it's decision on Cape Wind in early 2009. REBIRTH has raised partial financing, which has carried us this far and seeks completion funding to cover the more ambitious aspects of the story (aerial footage, high-profile interviews, etc.)
